Overview

Scentmark is a social media project for a room fragrance brand, focused on translating scent and atmosphere into a consistent visual language. The challenge was not to show the product alone, but to visually express the feeling, mood, and experience that the fragrance creates within a space.

Challenge

Scentmark explores how a visual identity can suggest something intangible,atmosphere, memory, and emotion, without relying on literal representation. The challenge was to translate a sensory-driven concept into a visual language that feels subtle, refined, and evocative. The identity needed to communicate mood rather than message, allowing space for interpretation while remaining cohesive and intentional across applications.

Solution

The visual system was built around restraint and atmosphere. Typography, spacing, and composition were treated as primary elements, allowing the identity to feel quiet, intentional, and tactile. Rather than over-explaining the concept, the design invites viewers to slow down and engage intuitively. Each element works together to create a sense of presence, where simplicity becomes the vehicle for expression.

Result

The result is a visual identity that feels understated yet distinctive. It doesn’t demand attention, but rewards it revealing character through nuance, rhythm, and consistency. Scentmark demonstrates how visual systems can communicate beyond words, using form, balance, and restraint to suggest meaning rather than define it.
