Overview

Tikung (Tawar Ikut Untung) is a digital bidding system module where participants can place bids on available items during an event, and the winner will be determined. The winner is required to make payment according to the selected bid value to claim the item. This Interface (Tikung) we created can be found on the myIM3 and Bima apps.

Challenge

The main challenge was managing a high-density interface with multiple features, promotions, and transaction paths without overwhelming users. Tikung needed to communicate a large amount of information quickly, while still feeling approachable and easy to navigate. Additionally, the product had to align with evolving business requirements, including frequent promotional updates, changing priorities, and the need for flexible design components that could adapt over time.

Solution

The solution focused on structuring information clearly through refined user flows, consistent visual hierarchy, and modular UI components. Wireframes were used early to simplify navigation paths and identify friction points before moving into high-fidelity design. A design system approach was applied to ensure consistency across screens while allowing flexibility for future feature expansion. Color, typography, and layout were carefully optimized to guide attention, highlight key actions, and support fast decision-making within the app.

Result

The final outcome is a scalable and user-friendly mobile interface that supports both user needs and business goals. The improved structure enhances usability, reduces cognitive load, and creates a smoother transaction experience across the app. This project demonstrates how thoughtful UI/UX decisions can transform complex requirements into a cohesive digital product one that is visually engaging, functionally clear, and ready to evolve alongside the business.
